At Quilty Pleasures with Sara Cook
Sampler quilts are an
excellent way to learn how to make a quilt. They are made up from a selection
of blocks which use hand sewing, machine sewing, strip patchwork, English
patchwork, appliqué and more… Each block/sample is then quilted and made up
into a finished quilt using the quilt as you go technique. We are running our
sampler quilt course fortnightly as this gives students time to work on their
blocks in between classes. Using what you have sewn in class you make a quilt
approx 45” square, however if you wish to make a larger quilt you can make
extra blocks at home between sessions. If you have any queries don’t hesitate
to ask!
This course is suitable for
beginners as well as those who wish to continue to learn new blocks and
techniques
Starts
again in September on Monday mornings 10.00 – 12.00 or evenings 7.30 till 9.30.
Sep 24th, Oct 8th and 22nd, Nov 5th and 19th, Dec 3rd and 17th, Jan 14th and
28th, Feb 11th and 25th, Mar 11th
AM session 10 – 12, PM session 7.30 - 9.30
£160 for 12 sessions. £50
deposit secures a place, with the remainder due by 24th September. We are happy
for students to pay in installments over the summer.

About our Tutors
All our quilt tutors are members of The Quilter’s Guild of the British Isles and regularly exhibit their work. They all have, or are studying towards their City and Guilds qualifications in Patchwork and Quilting.
Terms and Conditions
Places on courses are only confirmed on receipt of full payment. Places can be booked in the shop, over the phone with a debit/credit card or through posting a cheque. If you wish to cancel a place, a refund minus a 10% administration fee will only be offered up to 14 days before the date of the first session.
We reserve the right to cancel courses due to reasons such as tutor illness. In the unlikely event this may happen, you will be given a full refund - please ensure we have up to date contact details on your booking form.
